This is the web site of the Oklahoma Conference of the American Association of University Professors. This site contains information about state AAUP events, initiatives, and members. AAUP-Oklahoma is the main advocate of the state's college faculty. We fight for raising faculty salaries and benefits, strengthening the tenure system, and ensuring freedom of academic speech on campus.

Upcoming State Meetings:

April 24th at SWOSU

Chapter officers and state committee chairs: if possible, please send Christian Morgan a report of your chapter’s activities and needs (we’re here to help!) before the meeting if you cannot attend.

If you don’t have an active chapter—and even if you do—and want to become involved in the AAUP at the state level, please join us at the next meeting!

AAUP-Oklahoma Establishes Legal Advocacy Fund

At its November 5, 2005 meeting, AAUP-Oklahoma established a Legal Advocacy Fund.

The fund will be used to help Oklahoma AAUP members defray legal expenses if they require an attorney in any action dealing with their job. AAUP members can request help through the AAUP-Oklahoma Executive Committee, which will determine how the money is rewarded to any individual.

AAUP-Oklahoma has made an initial $50 contribution to the fund and will add $50 every quarter. It now seek contributions from members and chapters throughout the state.

To contribute to the fund, send your check made out to AAUP-Oklahoma Legal Advocacy Fund to:
